Underreported and underrepresented: While the whole world talks about more frequent natural disasters and social challenges that climate change is causing, little attention is being paid to how it will impact the cultural heritage of countries and peoples. Will intangible heritage get lost once people need to migrate? Will rising sea levels destroy natural sites of spiritual significance? The panel to discuss these issues will consist of government officials and cultural experts from Pacific island states, the region in the world most affected by these questions and a regrettable case study for what the rest of the world is about to face.
